Community First

Education that puts
communities first.

CSS was built on a simple belief: that quality education should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford it. We work with communities, funders, and local partners to make that a reality.

What we believe

Skills and education are the most powerful levers for social change. Not corporate training programmes or expensive short courses — but properly funded, accessible, community-rooted education that meets people where they are.

That's what CSS has been delivering since 2020. We work in communities that are often overlooked — people who need English language skills to find work, adults re-entering society after prison, young people who need a trade qualification to get their first job.

We also believe that AI shouldn't be gatekept by big corporations. Our AI Champion programme is designed to be accessible to anyone with ambition — not just those already sitting in boardrooms.

Funded by government

All our community programmes are funded through the Adult Skills Fund and other public funding streams. Free to access for eligible learners.

Rooted in Liverpool City Region

We hold a direct contract with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority — one of the leading providers across the City Region.

Built around outcomes

Every programme ends with a clear next step: a job, a qualification, or a path forward. We measure what matters.

Part of something bigger

We work alongside local authorities, employers, and community organisations — united by a shared belief that education is the most powerful route out of poverty.
